As your concierge physician, you will have personalized and direct access to Dr. Johansen, same day and flexible appointments and she will help navigate your health care throughout the complex health system. Dr. Johansen’s practice size is limited to provide her patients with the time and accessibility to provide personalized care. She will have the time to develop a long-lasting relationship with you to provide you with internal medicine services, including diagnosing and treating acute and chronic medical conditions and providing preventative and proactive care. She will get to know you as a whole person, perform a comprehensive medical assessment and exam, review your health status, lifestyle, health goals, discuss proactive methods to optimize your wellness and partner together to provide you with exceptional care. She will collaborate with specialists and advocate for the best medical care for you. Concierge medicine restores the personalized nature of the doctor-patient relationship and allows for direct access to your doctor.

Yes. Concierge private medicine practice does not take the place of general health insurance coverage. The overall goal is to improve and maintain your health, and for your insurance plan to cover necessary and more complex medical intervention when needed. Dr. Johansen will refer you to laboratory and radiological services and specialists as needed. Since these services are typically covered by most insurance plans, patients can continue to use their health insurance for these services. By providing you with highly personalized, accessible, and exceptional primary care, your insurance plan utilization can often be reduced.

Dr. Johansen will help to refer you to the best specialists, coordinate the consultations, and communicate directly with your other physicians. Since specialty services are typically covered by insurance plans, patients can continue to use their regular insurance for these services.

The office is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (except holidays) and at other times for urgent needs. When you become a member of Dr. Johansen’s concierge program, you will receive her personal contact information for your care needs. Contact us to learn more about the concierge program.

Should you need to be hospitalized, Dr. Johansen will strive to coordinate your care and advocate for the best treatment plan with the hospital staff and other specialists.

In any emergency, you should call 911 or go directly to the nearest emergency room. The emergency room staff can page Dr. Johansen.
